Class of '23: Legendary Malik Miyake-Mugler
Class of ’23 is a series bringing sexual health, community, and movement together. Join us for a night of free programming at Ace Hotel Toronto, where together, we’ll dive into the importance of HIV education, get to know some of Ballroom’s most influential performers, and explore the beauty of voguing.
For our June edition, we’ll discuss Empowerment, Solidarity, and Community Support with Rosacea Cheeks Imperium, followed by a Vogue masterclass and conversation with Legendary Malik Miyake-Mugler.

ABOUT MALIK
From his beginnings in New York City’s Kiki scene back in 2011, Malik has always stayed true to his roots, placing community at the very heart of everything he’s undertaken and receiving his Legendary status in 2022 in recognition of his outstanding contributions. A master of his element, his Vogue, leadership, and grit have propelled him to incredible heights, snatching the crown on season two of HBO Max’s Legendary, working with global sensations like Beyoncé, Lizzo, Lil Nas X, and many more, and starring in Toronto History Museum’s Transforming Grief Exhibition, currently on view at Fort York. He’s travelled the world, setting the floor ablaze in both Europe and Canada, and we’re glad to have him back for this sensational masterclass.
ABOUT ROSACEA
Whether she’s seen hosting the hottest queer parties in a bold eye and shiny red lip or hitting the back of the runway in soft glam, Rosacea Cheeks oozes confidence and artistry. One of the newer additions to our local Ballroom scene, she recently turned to drag after being diagnosed with HIV, finding self-love and empowerment in the process—reclaiming a skin condition that had previously held her back too. Today, Rosacea is HIV+ and proud, hoping her courage inspires others to do the same and openness creates room for discussion—leading her very first community workshop through this series and making herself available for folks who’d like to connect privately.
